Soon Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter. The film is an official remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat which released two years ago. Though Sridevi wasn’t too keen on Janhvi entering the industry initially, she finally gave in to it for her daughter’s passion for acting. Sadly Sridevi isn’t there anymore to see her daughter making her Bollywood debut. The veteran actress passed away due to accidental drowning at a Dubai hotel in February this year. Following this, the entire family was in a state of shock. Janhvi for the first time ever has spoken about Sridevi’s loss.
While Janhvi is all set to make her Bollywood debut, she spoke to Vogue magazine. She felt extremely emotional while shooting for the glossy. Kapoor said, “She was all excited to attend my Vogue cover shoot; that was one day I really missed her.” After Sridevi’s death, Khushi and Janhvi are often seen with Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor which is a heartwarming. It is really nice to see Sridevi’s daughters bond with Arjun and Anshula. While talking about the family coming toghether, Janhvi said, “It’s made us feel safe and secure. I think, even for Papa, it’s a source of comfort. It’s definitely tied us together. We’ve lost mom and I don’t think that’s a loss any of us will ever get over.”
Though Sridevi passed away in February, Janhvi returned back to the sets of her debut film within a few days. She remained strong and composed for her mommy. She kept saying she wanted to work for her mother even in her weakest moments. Elaborating about it, Jr Kapoor said, “That’s always been my motivation. I’m so proud of my parents. I need to make them as proud of me.”
